Poet, playwright, and translator Ramz Bobojon began his creative work in 1936. The poet's epic poem "Dear Friends" is dedicated to showing the friendship of brotherly nations during the war and the post-war period. In 1987, Ramz Bobojon was awarded the title of "People's Poet of Uzbekistan." In the era of independence, he was awarded the "El-yurt Hurmati" order.

Biography

Poet, playwright, and translator Ramz Bobojon was born in 1921 in Tashkent into a family of civil servants. After graduating from the Education and Training Technical College, he entered the faculty of language and literature of the Tashkent State Pedagogical Institute.

In 1939-1948, he worked as a department head and then editor at a youth newspaper, and as an editor at the Uzbekistan State Publishing House and the radio committee.

He worked actively in the Republic's Writers' Union as a literary consultant, secretary, and as the head of the "Vatan" (Homeland) society.

The poet's epic poem "Dear Friends" is dedicated to showing the friendship of brotherly nations during the war and the post-war period.

Ramz Bobojon also has his own contributions to the development of our dramaturgy.

Literature enthusiasts know Ramz Bobojon not only as a poet and playwright but also as a translator. He translated works by A.S. Pushkin, M.Yu. Lermontov, N.A. Nekrasov, A.A. Tvardovsky, and other Russian poets into the Uzbek language.

In 1987, Ramz Bobojon was awarded the title of "People's Poet of Uzbekistan."

In the era of independence, he was awarded the "El-yurt Hurmati" order.

Activity

Ramz Bobojon began his creative work in 1936. Until now, he has published several collections of poems such as "Poems" (1939), "Gift" (1940), "Golden Rainbow" (1949), "Along the Valley" (1949), "Selected Works" (1958), "Secrets of Love" (1963), "To You, My Love" (1969), "First Flight" (1980), "Tribute to Love" (1980), and "Your Affection" (1996), as well as his "Selected Works." In 1961, he created the comedy "Uncle and Nephews." The play "Gypsies" was performed in Moscow theaters. The comedy "Jinn and Spirits or Living Corpses" (1972), which harshly exposed backward individuals, was also warmly received by fans.

The playwright's drama "Yusuf and Zulayho" (1981), in particular, received the applause of viewers and the general reading public.
